As the child of immigrant entrepreneurs, I grew up surrounded by people taking risks and examples of self-belief paying off. It seemed that experimentation (and failure) produced progress, and that confidence would follow.

I felt this dynamic again when I moved to LA and tried to improve my own style.

Discovering things that worked for me gave me confidence to keep going, but getting there was harder than it needed to be.

There was plenty of inspiration online, but no easy way to experiment personally without spending hours in fitting rooms or sinking money into trial-and-error online orders.

That's why I built Stylar – the style playground I wish I had then. By making discovery playful and experimentation low-stakes, we reduce the friction of trying new identities and help people build confidence in their own aesthetic.
